How to Cut Cauliflower Florets

Have you ever wanted to buy a head of cauliflower but didn’t because you didn’t know how to cut it? We’re here to teach you our easy and quick way to cut cauliflower florets! 

Learning how to cut cauliflower into florets is a great skill that can help you save money and prevent unnecessary packaging waste.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Cutting Cauliflower Florets

Start by washing the cauliflower under cold running water. Using a chef’s knife, proper knife hold and a secure cutting board, slice the head of cauliflower in half, then in half again to create quarters.

To remove the core, angle your chef’s knife and slice diagonally. The florets should easily break apart.

To make bite-sized florets, either use your hands to break to desired size, or use your chef’s knife to cut into smaller pieces.

If cutting cauliflower for roasting, create similarly-sized pieces for even roasting.

Repeat with remaining quarters.
